Map Navigator
Android navigation
One of the strongest features of the new version of Android, unveiled today by Google. Find mobile phones “running” version 2.0 of the Android platform and have a GPS receiver, such as Motorola Droid circulated next week, will have access to an advanced version of Google Maps that takes navigation capabilities.
The Google Maps Navigation as your browser to take you to any destination in the state with detailed instructions turn by turn. In addition to using existing techniques and services of Google, Maps Navigation has the potential not found in similar programs.
For example, you can register via voice command (always in English) the destination or point of interest (museum, stage) and the application will propose you some initial results on the search conducted. Choosing what you are looking for with one click, results in an immediate development path from the program.
Most impressive is the ability to use the known satellite imagery from Google Maps to show the route. For even more realism, using the service Streetview showing the route through photos taken with the specific vehicles and Google show with greater accuracy what will come ahead ( http://igoandroid.net )
As understood, the application requires continuous connection to the Internet (GPRS, 3G) and as quickly as possible. The first reports refer to setting cache that stores the path that you specify so you do not create a problem in places where there is access to the Internet. In addition, as we have become accustomed to Google, the application is available for free creating new facts on the class browser for smartphones. The company states that its purpose is to bring the application and the iPhone through the App Store.
