Gps Beanbag
GPS on dashboard in CA?
I know about the new law this year about being able to mount a GPS in the lower left or right hand corners of the windshield, but what about dashboard mounts? Somebody told me that dashboard mounts are illegal (beanbags or equivalent, Garmin makes some) in California. Is this true? I was always under the impression that dashboard mounts are OK, even in the center. Thanks!
Does anyone have evidence to back up their answer?
I live in California, and everyone still mounts their GPS in the center of their windshield or dashboard.
I would think putting it in the left or right corner would be worse as you’d have to strain to see it, taking your eyes off the road.
